Governance of sustainability matters at Ayala starts within the Board of Directors through the Sustainability Committee, who supports the company's sustainability efforts and the integration of ESG matters into strategy formulation.

 

아얄라의 지속 가능성 문제에 대한 거버넌스는 지속 가능성 위원회를 통해 이사회에서 시작됩니다. 지속 가능성 위원회는 회사의 지속 가능성 노력과 ESG 문제를 전략 수립에 통합하도록 지원합니다.

 

The Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), also concurrently the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) directs Ayala's sustainability strategy. The Group Sustainability and Risk Management team supports the CSO in the execution of sustainability programs.

Climate Action
Ayala commits to achieving Net-Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 2050

We recognize the urgency of climate action and the need to align ourselves with the global movement to address the climate crisis and ensure that the Philippines’ contribution to climate action makes an impact. Hence, we committed to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. In the same vein, we are cognizant of the need to secure our businesses from the threats brought about by climate change. Ayala continues to be guided by the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), cognizant that the TCFD had just concluded its operations and is now subsumed by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). Across its organization, Ayala ensures that its business decisions – both short- and long-term – factor in climate-related considerations. The company also regularly reviews and updates its risk register to confirm that it recognizes relevant financial risks and opportunities associated with climate change

 

우리는 기후 변화 대응의 시급성과 기후 위기를 해결하고 필리핀의 기후 대응 기여가 영향을 미치도록 하기 위한 글로벌 운동에 동참해야 할 필요성을 인식합니다. 따라서 우리는 2050년까지 온실 가스 순 제로 배출을 달성하기로 약속했습니다. 마찬가지로 기후 변화로 인한 위협으로부터 사업을 보호해야 할 필요성을 인식하고 있습니다. Ayala는 기후 관련 재무 정보 공개 태스크포스(TCFD)의 권장 사항을 계속 따르고 있으며, TCFD가 방금 운영을 마쳤고 현재 국제 지속 가능성 표준 위원회(ISSB)에 포함되었다는 사실을 인식하고 있습니다. Ayala는 조직 전체에서 단기 및 장기적 비즈니스 의사 결정에 기후 관련 고려 사항을 반영하도록 합니다. 또한 회사는 정기적으로 위험 등록부를 검토하고 업데이트하여 기후 변화와 관련된 관련 재무적 위험과 기회를 인식하고 있는지 확인합니다.

Ayala continues to be an active partner of various stakeholders in advocating for sustainability and bridging societal gaps.

Ayala leverages on various relationships and resources to achieve its medium- to long-term ambitions and deliver value to its stakeholders.

To more effectively identify and manage topics that critically affect both its businesses and stakeholders, Ayala conducted a double materiality assessment in 2023, in line with best practice to revisit and refresh material topics every two to three years. The company mapped out relevant themes and consulted its stakeholders to determine sustainability issues to be prioritized and the corresponding actions that need to be taken to address them.

Ayala는 사업과 이해관계자 모두에게 중대한 영향을 미치는 주제를 보다 효과적으로 식별하고 관리하기 위해 2023년에 모범 사례에 따라 2~3년마다 중요 주제를 재검토하고 새롭게 하는 이중 중요성 평가를 실시했습니다. 이 회사는 관련 주제를 정리하고 이해관계자와 협의하여 우선순위를 정할 지속 가능성 문제와 이를 해결하기 위해 취해야 할 해당 조치를 결정했습니다.
